Well, so much for school starting. It's canceled today! Can you believe that? Day number two and it's canceled!!! I was already totally dressed and ready and was starting to get John David ready when we found out that the school was flooded. There has been soooo much rain that a number of roads are closed and his school will be closed for who knows how long. I can't imagine the frustration the teachers must be feeling right now. Or are they relieved? I suppose it depends on if they are getting to go home or drag buckets of water out of their classrooms.
So the reign of peace that was so enjoyed in our home yesterday was short lived. I'm sure they'll make arrangements for classes to start back soon enough, but what a bummer.
(Clarification: John David is not necessarily the reason there is not peace at any given time. It's just the fact that John David and Julia are not together. Little + Jupie = scary faces, tickle wars, high pitched girly screams, toy battles, indoor chase, and so much more!)
maybe my school will flood next Tuesday so i can only go to school for one day! He's so lucky!
