It Was a Lot of Work....

but I finally squeezed out a few little tidbits of information about the boy's school day. This shouldn't take long at all:
  • yes, he likes his teacher
  • yes, he is sitting in the same desk he chose at meet the teacher night
  • you can't do the legos or blocks center until Friday - this did not make him happy
  • you can't switch centers once you have chosen - this also did not make him happy since what he thought was going to be a fantastically fun center (math safari?) was not so very fun after all
  • lunch was good
  • he didn't get in trouble except when he and some friends raced - his friend was last so, understandable, he called his friend a rotten egg. he in turn was a fresh egg since he was first. he and his friend had to talk through this since being called a rotten egg hurt the other boy's feelings. we might need to find a less sensitive friend.
  • there is no homework
  • now he's swimming with Daddy and Julia
So there's the first day of school for second grade. Only 10 more first days before he graduates!

  1. math safari is sneakily fun-sounding. Poor guy. No take-backs after choosing centers...
